Delicious Doodles Challenge

I am going to try and organise myself better this year and be a better blogger and joiner in of challenges- just feel as if the last three months of last year were a bit hectic. The sun has actually made an appearance which makes all the difference, it's a bit depressing when it's dark when you get up, dull all day and then dark when you come home from work.

I've had a couple of days when after taking the dogs out I have done NOTHING at all so I've done that, bored with it now and need to make some plans of crafty stuff to do, household things to get done and plans for the year ahead as I can stop worrying so much about the dogs as Misty is on the mend- her claws are coming in nicely now and starting to wean her off the steroids and Bud is on medication for his Cushings which seems to be helping, just needs regular blood tests to make sure everything is ok with him

Have a good weekend everyone and to those who have been back at work this week then at least it was a short week and it's now the weekend and to those like me who were off this week, enjoy your last couple of days of freedom

A Couple of Challenges

Good afternoon from a rather cold and frosty Scotland today- had to scrape the ice of the car before I could take the dogs to the park this morning.
I must be feeling all Chrsitmassy as I started my shopping when I was out- now what does it say about me the fact I started with the animals!!!!
My first card I made using papers from Funky Hand and some corrugated card and it is for the Just Magnolia anything goes challenge- you can add lace and pearls if you want, so i did
I am also entering it into Allsorts- shaped card challenge

The next two items are for my Funky Hand teamie Ruth's new challenge site Crimbo Crackers

The card and pillow box are made using the Snow Buddeeze CD from Debbi Moore

even made some cheese scones- check me out!!!! not baked for years but felt the notion to make some today

Are they edible??- well tried one on the dogs first so if they say they are fine then they are fit for human consumption and they seemed to go down well with them

At Kenny K's this weeks the challenge is to make a shaped card and at Totally Gorjuss the challenge is Ooh La La so my next card is for that challenge

the paper is by Funky Hand and it is one of my favourite papers and i just realised that in Craft Studio I can change the colour of it so I made it pink for this ooh La La very girly card- so be warned I might be changing all my favourite papers now to suit the colour scheme

Took me ages to make these today as the tendonitis in my hand is back and very painful but decided it needed some exercise instead of doing nothing- bet it's worse tonight! think I need to teach the dogs how to work my bug and punches for when it flares up.

it is still warm here although it is raining and I am so sad about that as I was going to cut my grass and here I am having to craft instead... hehe.. but did manage to get some housework done and a couple of washings so it's not all been fun

this fortnight's Delicious Doodles Challenge is fun this week it called TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED- so we want to see something unusual or a cute card with a horrible saying etc, so long as its not what you would really expect

The front of the card says I want those new shoes darling...

and then you open it up and there is Voodoo woman saying And you know if I don't get what I want then the doll must come out!

The challenge at Kenny K's this week is to use your favourite Kenny K image and I think this one is mine, although it's hard to choose as they are all fabby.

And as you can see I've went a bit acetate mad lately- never mind it will wear off when the lot I have is done!

Stood on Misty this morning going down the stairs and as she yelped out and as I tried to get off her tail I ended up falling down all the stairs, skint and bruised my arm and now my back and neck are all aching so going for a nice hot bath to see if that helps any- not a very good start to the day was it??? but never mind a nice bit of lunch and some retail therapy helped at the time
Oh well better get for the bath then back to some HO HO HO bah humbug crafting... am quickly getting fed up with Christmas and it's still ages away!!!!

This week Cute Card Thursday has an Anything Goes challenge, so I made this card for the challenge.
The paper and the image is from Teri at Delicious Doodles and I just love that butterfly

So dogs are walked and just having a cuppa while doing this then it's Chrsitmas time again in here for me- I always lack inspiration to get started on Christmas so I am using a Hunkydory Christmas kit to get me started cause it's nice and easy just to mount the toppers on the lovely marching card

Misty is doing good now and no limping at the minute- still waiting on the results though cause they are calcifying the nails !!!

This weeks challenge at HDH- Macabre Monday is PMS- Psychotic Miss Silver
I used a lovely silvery swirly acetate for my card and mounted Medusa by Teri at Delicious Doodles on silver card. I coloured her using pro markers and added the sentiment I Will Bite!
So beware that's how I feel this week!!!!!
I must apologise for being such a bad blogger of late and I haven't took part in this challenge for a number of weeks so I decided tonight before I write out my mega to do list that would take time to myself and have a little play and this is the end result.
And of course I am now all mixed up with the days as I had a little day off yesterday and now think today is Monday and that means Friday will be here all the quicker then- have a lovely Tuesday night

This week the challenge at Cute Card Thursday is Clean and Simple and for this card I used goodies from Craftwork Cards to make my card.

Had a little flexi day today and as it kept looking like it was going to rain I decided not to cut the grass and make some cards instead- needless to say it never rained but loads of cards made anyway!

Fun In The Sun is the theme this week over at Kenny K so its all things summery- for summer I think of greens as the grass is green and all the leaves on the trees and of course all the lovely flowers and a splash of orange for some brightness.

Have been a bad blogger for the last few weeks so apologies for not visiting and not joining in with challenges

Was at the seaside last weekend so here's Misty with my sisters dog Sam on the beach

And here's Bud having a little sing song on the beach

Can't believe it's Sunday already, where does the weekend go to and I still have loads to do, just one more order to complete then some DT stuff to do and hopefully will still have some time left to play- its pouring rain outside which is such a shame as it means I am holed up in the craft room the whole day with coffee and chocolate to keep me company!!!

Monday again- where does the weekend go to?

The challenge at Macabre Monday this week is Kuriously Korroded with Kenny K- so they want to see all sorts of distressing in any way

Fab challenge as I can do distressing- tick and I can do Kenny K too- tick -so off we go... and this is the result

Damsel in Distress

The cobweb is a Delicious Doodles image and so is Mr Spider, so I got out my distress inks and inked the web then distressed the edges and mounted in to black distressed card

Printed the sentiment and distressed this too and there you go, Miss Glamour Puss is well and truly distressed- take it she's not yet noticed the spider or that big smile would be wiped right off her face!!!

Happy Sunday everyone and that of course means time for a new Kenny K challenge and once again I couldn't resist using this wonderful image.

Now normally I would go for an earth tone but am feeling BLUE today added of course with an earth tone- Brown

Used my new Tim Holz die for the flower and found this ribbon in my stash

Have fiddled about most of this afternoon not achieving very much so time to get the finger out and get a move on me thinks

The challenge this week at Macabre Monday is Pleasure and Pain- to use something you love and something you hate

I was naughty and used a few things I love- the swirly paper by Funky hand and theskull from Teri at Delicious Doodles which must be my all time favvy image

I layered up the image and used glossy accents- which I also love with a sprinkling of glitter

And now to the pain.......... peel offs... yukky but at least they are white border strips so hopefully not too yukky then

Am I the only person having a problem with blogger I can only seem to leave about one comment then it keeps asking me to sign in and won't let me... grrrrrr...rrrrr.r

Get Funky May Challenge

Good morning everyone hereis my recipe challenge card for Get Funky which was set this month by our Kathy who has asked us to follow this recipe: 5 flowers, 3 different papers, 2 buttons and a ribbon - all mixed up with a light seasoning of a sprinkle of gems and/or pearls.

This months freebie can be used but so long as you use at least one Funky Hand product then you are eligible for a chance to win the prize.

For my card I used papers from the Blue Magic collection from the Dreams Come True CD- I made three flowers using a die and added another two fabric flowers at each end of the pom pom ribbon, doodled some stems and added buttons and jewels to the flowers.

TEXTURE is the theme for this weeks Delicious Doodles Challenge

I stamped a Tim Holz die with brushed corduroy ink then applied perfect pearls

Cut a scalloped oval and inked and applied perfect peals the used UTE on some corrugated card and added a chipboard swirl and the beautiful butterfly image by Teri, a leaf and some pearls to finish it off

Moving Along With The Times

Need to stock up on Sympathy cards- never a pleasant card to make but sadly they are needed and I hate having to make them when they are required and like to have some in stock- used them all and more last week as one of my friends sadly lost her mum and I hated every minute of the cards I had to make

The wind and rain here have been terrible but then when you see on the news about the tornadoes in America then a little 80 miles an hour wind is nothing

Nearly the middle of the week and then it will be the weekend- oh doesn't time fly- will be June next week so I hope the weather soon picks back up and we get some sunshine

Off to get a bath and wash my hair then might squeeze another card in before time to go to bed

Here we are at Sunday once again- where does the time fly to! Busy busy today, a few cards to make and also 50 Wedding Thank you cards which I keep putting off but will have to get on with them as the bride comes back her honeymoon on Tuesday. So a little play before I get on- The Kenny K challenge this week is WHITE ON WHITE- I do love white on white but it can be quite hard to photograph properly and especially with this weird weather.... one minute the sun is shining the next it's pouring rain...... oh well can;t delay the thank you cards any longer... well maybe just a bit- think I will make a coffee first and have some chocolate and see if that inspires me any

Sunday- day of rest- not if you're a cardmaker

Whoever said Sunday was a day of rest must have been having a laugh..........
So many cards to do and not enough hours in the day... been getting on with some orders- have 20 thank you cards for my club's up and coming Agility show to do for the judges and the scribes so have been getting on with those and am half way through them
Stopped to have a coffee and realised I hadn't told you about the latest Funky Hand release Stripey Stripes
And here's a couple of cards I made using the papers- there's a wonderful selection of colours

And this is my claim to fame- The Funky hand gang are featured in the Complete Cardmaking magazine this month and this is my page.......... ah fame at last!
