1.I just love love love Elvis Presley and hope to go to Graceland one day
2. I have bought my burial plot as I just do NOT want burnt and have picked my funeral song(Elvis of course)
3.I hate spiders
4. My parents would not let me have a dog when I was wee so I used to go to dog shows myself and sit all day and watch the dogs and I bought dog ornaments to make up for it- I was 24 before i was allowed my first dog- you would have thought before that they would have realised i was serious bout me having a doggy
5.I have a thing about shoes - oh and bags oh and jackets and so on
6. I would NEVER go out the house without at least puting a bit of mascara on!

Arty Girlz Challenge

Daring Cardmakers

The challenge over at Daring Cardmakers was to make a golden oldie- a card using old stash, so I went on a good rumage and found some things I forgot I had and amongst those were these beautiful Three bugs In A rug papers which i used to make this card, a bit of brown card, some glitter and a saying -life Begins At Forty and of course my trusty ink pad

2 Sketches 4 You

This is Lauras sketch for this week and my take on the sketch

I used a swirly stamp to stamp onto white card then mounted it on black cut a section of black card and embossed it with a swirly cuttlebug folder then added Birthday girl saying a chiboard swirl which i inked and glittered and attached to a green card blank with bottom embossed with swiss dots folder and added two small chipboard shapes

Cute Cards Thursday and Penny Black Challenge

The challenge this week was to make a card featuring things that grow

Made with funky hand paper and k&co paper, along with a few embellishments and the penny black stamp featuring two bunnies 'growing' in pots and holding a flower which also grows

Have just been ordered by team mate Kath to get this on the penny black challenge as well as you get bunnies down on the farm

I'm Back

from my weeks holiday at Arran- it is a beautiful place but very quiet. If you are looking for somewhere scenic and peaceful then Arran is ideal. Lots of beaches to take the dogs on and they had a ball swimming every morning, afternoon and evening. Not many shops on Arran(I like to do a bit of shopping on holiday) but I still managed to find one that had some crafting stuff so I got a few bits and bobs- some lovely hand made papers, chipboard stickers, a pack with papers, ribbons, brads, alphabets etc and some tiny safety pins.

Lochranza in Arran is one of the most beautiful places and it has a ruined castle and deer wandering about all over the place(one tried to steal my lunch!-but I was too hungry so it never got it)

brodick also has a castle which I never realised until I had been is actually featured on a Clydesdale Bank £20 note

Sneaky Peak

A little sneaky look at what I am working on at the moment- its a book dedicated to my last German Shepherd Jasper(my big angel)

I have started the book from scratch and by that I don't mean buying a book and covering it I mean I created the book from scratch - you know two bits of chipboard, masking tape, the concertina page holder and the pages_ I feel quite clever having created this!hehe

I have still to decorate the pages but this will have to wait till I come back my holidays

Just finished packing and the dogs packing too- you know toys, towels, bowls, collars leads change of collars, swimming collars, bandanas, bling collar for Misty for when she goes to the pub... etc(think they are taking about as much stuff as me n Stephen)

Daring Cardmakers

The challenge this week for Daring Cardmakers was to make a card using peel off's in it

I took a navy card blank and cut a strip of bazzil then embossed it, after fixing onto card i trimmed top and bottom with peel off borders. i cut the flower from K&Co paper attached Birthday greetings peel offs and green swirls, did a bit of doodling round the sides in green and attached two peel off leaves

Distressed Tilda

The challenge on the Tilda Challenge site this week is to distress Tilda- so consider her now distressed

I think everything on the card has been distressed with ink and even Tilda was painted using distress inks an alcohol inks used for the mount

Get Well Soon

was supposed to be getting on with the dog cards I have to make but got a little side tracked with these gorgeous DCWV papers and of course my favourite flowers and the get well sentiment is from Funkyhand

This also gave me the chane to try out my new border embossers for my Cuttlebug and I used the stitching one on this card

The Penny Black challenge this week was to make a card using brads and or buttons along with a penny Black image

i just love those big flowers and can't stop using them they are wonderful
