Cuttlebug Challenge #12

This weeks Cuttlebug challenge is to sand your embossing and core card is ideal for this
I used it in lilac and used D'vine Swirls and Floral Fantasy folders
I stamped a butterfly image onto vellum and coloured and glittered it then attached some ribbon and the sentiment Butterfly Kisses

I missed this sketch a few weeks ago so decided to use this one

2 sketches 4You Laura's Sketch 16

This is Laura's sketch this week and after not managing to play along last week I had to make time to do this week's sketch.

For this I used alcohol inks to create my background paper and stamped a Paper Artsy stamp onto it. The shaped segments are K&Co and the hesian came courtesy of some bath bombs for Christmas and the card smells lovely too now!

I just know I will be using the hesian up on all my cards at the moment and then will have to go buy more bath bombs to get some more

Brrr

It was minus 8 here this morning when I took the dogs out for their morning walk and it was so cold I thought my fingers might snap off. They are going to want back out again soon and not looking forward to that! although it is now just minus 3.
Have housework that I must do today and tomorrow but thought if I get upstairs done today I can do the rest tomorrow and that might give me a lttle bit of time maybe to make a card or two- that's the worst of this time of year you are so busy recovering from Christmas and getting ready for New Year there is not a lot of crafting getting done
If I manage to make anything I will post it later but incase I don't I wish everyone a very Happy and prosperous New Year

Arty Girlz Challenge

The Arty Girlz challenge this week is create Small Art, this could be an inchie, domino, atc etc so I went for and ATC

I did a collage atc using different coloured and textured papers and stamped onto this to creat my atc

2 Sketches 4 You

This is Laura's sketch over at the great 2 Sketches 4 You challenge blog. I missed the challenge last week and managed to make this quick card for this weeks challenge but hope to get back on track once my shopping etc is all done this week- I am sure you are all the same ... up to your eyes in all - how dare this Christmas malarkey mess with getting serious crafting done!

Anyway here is my quickie for this week- not really what I wanted to do with the sketch but it is what came out so it will have to do for this week

Cuttlebug Challenge #11

This is the cuttlebug challenge this week to make a criss cross card and full instructions are on a link from the blog.

I used K & Co papers and embossed the band with the argyle folder and the insert I used the leafy branch folder which I glittered and then cut 6 butterflies from the cut and emboss folder

One black for the base, a patterned paper and then one in vellum and embossed the vellum and paper ones and then layered them up

It is a great idea for a card so please give it a go and join in the Cuttlebug fun

Cuttlebug Challenge #10

The cuttlebug challenge this week is to create a Christmas project other than a card

For this I made a Dog Cracker and a Dog Gift Bag

I used the snowflake embossing folder and also embossed a die cut bone with this folder

I used a small cello bag filled with treats and stapled and embossed piece of red card to the top, added the bone with ribbon , a brad and the sentiment Happy Woofmas

For the cracker I used the cardboard inside of a loo roll, filled it with dog treats and once covered with paper and tied with ribbon added a small section of embossed card and a chipboard embellishment.

Hope you manage to have a go this week and looking forward to seeing what you create

Cuttlebug Challenge #9

This is my card for this weeks cuttlebug challenge which is to create your own embossing folder.

I think I left this one a bit late and kind of struggled a bit with getting the sandwich for the bug correct.

Full instructions how to create your own folder can be found on the Cuttlebug Site

I ended up using the star sizzix die and using the smallest star to create the folder

I then embossed it onto two of the other stars and the corner of the card

I felt it didn't show (probably too small)too well so I doodled round it and used felt thickers for the word STAR and yellow rafia

I promise I will try harder for the challenge next week

2 Sketches 4 You- Laura's Sketch #14

Its Laura's sketch this week and what a great sketch it is too

And this is my take on the sketch

I used silver glitter mesh, vellum, red snow paper, red ribbon, two types of flowers, stickles and the sentiment was cut from a sheet of paper from my stash

It is quite a simple card and hopefully the effect of the glitter and snow paper show
up in the photos
