The challenge this week at Daisy and Dandelion is Friends

for this I used a decoupage sheet and cut my card with a circular top, punched 6 small cicrcles and attached round the top and wrote the word Friend and a tiny love heart. doodled round my card base and added the words for you- very simple card today as I have lots to get done

Tag You're It

The theme this week at Tag You're It is cute and cuddly and they don't come more cute and cuddly than my Whipper Snapper poodle stamp which I coloured using my new Copics

I used 5 scalloped circles for the tag and doodled different doodles round each one, added my image a bow and some card candy along with a little handbag sentiment Tres Chic

Will be missing in action most of the weekend as have a training weekend with Misty so come Sunday night I will be exhausted

Charisma Cardz

The challenge at Charisma Cardz this week is my Favourite Things- so you have to make something using your favourite things of the moment and mine are flowers and card candy

Again I am sticking with girly colours and theme, all nice pastel pinkies and blues and isn't that such a cute Sugar Nellie stamp

Cuttlebug Challenge #24

The challenge this week is a Cupcake theme and for this we were able to use these wonderful cupcake digital downloads from Regina's Cutting Cafe- http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/
You must pop over there are see all the wonderful downloads that are available and remeber to pop over and see all the yummy inspiration from the design team.
I used the swiss dots folder and cut out and layered a cupcake image and stand and mounted this onto card that I printed off one of the sentiments- A Life filled with Cupcakes is a good life- ah yum... how true is that...
I used glamour dust and jewels to decorate the icing and added pink ribbon- the images are wonderful and I just know I will use them lots so remeber to take part this week and you could be in with a chance to win a downlaod from Regina

Penny Black Challenge

Now I just love to doodle cause you can create some stunning effect with doodling and of course what I really like about it is you don't have to be perfect or precise about it and that suits me fine

It's a recipe this week at Tag You're it

1 ribbon

2 Buttons

3 Brads or eyelets

so i used my leafy green ribbon, two green buttons and three small brads along with some lovely 3D butterflies

Hope you are all having a lovely Saturday- i am thinking about going to do some weeding.... but only thinking about it a the moment... it could take two weeks actually before that thought develops into action

edit- in response to Heidi's question the butterflies are stickers that I got at the SECC and all the packaging says is Fly Stickers so I don't know if that helps at all

Daisy & Dandelion and Charisma Cardz

The second challenge at the Daisy and Dandelion challenge blog is Thank You and for this I used Pickles(least I think he is Pickles and the smaller one is Onion , either that or it's the other way about)- just a simple card for this one today

For Charisma Cardz this week it is sketch

And for that I did an Easter card, the image is a Whipper Snapper stamp- its a bit orange and bright and i think the sun is actually shining in the photo so decided jusy to go with that photo to remind me of what sunshine actually looks like!

Cuttlebug Challenge #23

I can't believe it's Wednesday again- where has the time gone to- the weeks are just flying by and we are at challenge 23 already

The challenge this week is to use punches in unusual ways

I found this challenge quite tricky but had an idea in my head that started life as a rabbit and somehow ended up more like a bear or a dog!

I used blue and white spotty card to creat the card blank and punched the edges with fiskars punch and created a punched strip in core card and used the swiss dots folder.

I attached ribbon and card candy and a congratualtions topper and then my little "dog" which was created using a circle punch and a small oval punch and again used the swiss dots folder on this

Friday Sketchers and Penny Black Saturday

Both these challenges are a sketch this week

Starting with Friday Sketchers- here is the sketch

And this is my take on the sketch

Used my new Sugar Nellie stamp for this and followed the sketch quite rigidly this week, the little embossed sentiment says friend and i coloured the image using copics

now onto the Penny Black Challenge and this is the sketch

and again I used a new stamp which I fell in love with when I saw it

I am quite enjoying this girly phase I am going through cause it's not really me but yes Sue! I am liking it

Arty Girlz Challenge

The challenge this week is SMILE

and for that I made an ATC with word smile and a mouth on it

I inked the ATC with two shades of red ink, then added border strips, the word smile, some card candy, paper clips and the mouth with jewels

Tag You're It

The challenge this week is Time for Tea

I.. em.. aquired the tag from my work!! and doodled round the edges and attached rafia, then a K&Co embellishment and used a typed Anyone for Tea sentiment. The fab image is thanks to the lovely Maria and the minute I saw what the challenge was this week I couldn't wait to use that image and used copics to colour it.The image is ideal as whenever you have a cuppa you always have a cake or choccy with it!

Daisy & Dandelion

Thought I would join in with the new Daisy and Dandelion challenge this week.

Their first challenge is New Beginnings and for this I used one of the Pickles & Onion stamps and coloured it blue to create a baby boy card.

The stamps are adorable and i also have the Daisy and Dandelion ones so hope to join inon a regular basis

The challenge this week is something for the guys and for this challenge I used my trusty penny Black dog stamp which I coloured using copics.

Think the papers and letters are doodlebug and added some card candy

Guys cards are always more difficult but then aren't guys in general more difficult!!!

Cuttlebug Challenge #22

The challenge this week at http://www.cuttlebugchallenge.com/ is to use glitter with a delightful Sassy Stamps Digital download

I am having a couple of week of here that I am very drawn to light and pastel shades and this card is following that theme too

I used the delightful mouse download and coloured him with copics and added glitter to the ears and the ballooons.

I used the swiss dots folder to emboss the white base card and then a pink strip which was cut using Sue's Martha Stewart punch.

I then tied some lace round round the card which I had inked using pink and attached some flowers and then mounted my image and added a couple of paper clips

2 Sketches 4 You

This is the sketch this week at 2S4Y and this is my take on the sketch

I used a white scalloped card and embossed a flower with the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder, pink ribbon, white flower, jewels and a Hope sentiment

I have missed this challenge the last couple of weeks and am glad to be back

The challenge this week at The Pink Elephant is Pink Brown and Green

For this I used a scalloped card and some scalloped pink trimmed with brown paper that I found a bit of in my stash, pink ribbon and three pink flowers(the green is on the leaves of the flowers)and added a sentiment A Grandmother is one of life's greatest treasures

For the sketch this week I used a scalloped card, embossed two flowers with the hearts block embossing folder then inked them in pink

I then inked with brown ink a doily I bought added some heart ribbon and the cute image and the sentiment sweet

Hope it shows up ok in the photo as it is quite light and subtle

This is one of my new stamps at I bought at the SECC and its just so cute so just had to use it today.

Quite a simple card really but nice and bright- especially for me- I think Sue's love of pink is rubbing off on me!

Charisma Cardz and thank yous

The challenge this week at Charisma Cardz is a pretty card for mum I hope it shows up ok on the photo as it is very cream in colour throughout

Papers are yet again by cosmo cricket, used rubons for the words and outlined some in gold and added two flowers

I would like to say a huuuuge big thank you to Kath

for these lovely goodies and a bag of sweets she gave me yesterday- didn't take the sweets photo as em not too many of them left now!Had a fab time

and a huge big thank you to the lovely Maria for the beautiful card and stamped images that arrived today

I admired the little dog on a lovely card Maria had done and she has kindly sent me some images and others to play with

Cuttlebug Challenge #21

I can't believe we are at challenge 21 already! and the challenge is Watercolour
For this I used a Paper Artsy stamp and maybe cheated a bit cause I just gave it a colour wash with red and green paint- I love that stamp but nothing really to colour in with it
I doodled stitching round the edge of the card blank, used the distressed stripes folder on green card and gave it a little wash too with the water colours and used the swiss dots folder on the flowers
I then attached flowers, paper clips and a Tim Holtz key which says Life

Magnolia V Stampavie

This weeks challenge is Lace and Pearls and for this I used papers by cosmic cricket and an image from Enfys, thanks En and coloured it with copics

I used a lace ribbon and attched some pearls to the centre of the larger flower

For some reason i am drawn at the moment to green and orange and seem to be using it quite a lot but it is such a nice combination of colours

Off to the SECC tomorrow with Sue and looking forward to meeting up with Kath and some bloggy buddies for a coffee in between shopping
