Forever Friends and Cute Card Thursday and Lillyboo

This is my card for Cute Card thursday which is New Beginnings and also my card for the new Lillyboo challenge(they give you this free download to use and isn't it wonderful)- found out about it form my funky hand teamie Enfys who is on the DT- you will find the link under challenges on the right hand side of my blog

Oh dear- just realised there is actually a recipe that goes with the Lilly Boo challenge- 2 Ribbons, 3 Flowers and 4 Brads- not even close- so will have to redo this challenge- yet another KRAFT moment from me!!!!

This is my card for the Forever Friends challenge which is Brads or Eyelets
I used brads to decorate my embossed panel and the papers are Cosmo Cricket

What a night I have had- house alarm suddenly started going off and had to ring the guy out- oh says he my son will come tomorrow and the alarm will burn itself out after a while and stop ringing
Well... four and half hours later.... still going strong!!!
Had to call him again... my says he I thought it would have stopped by now... it will eventually.... but its getting late says me and there are lots of young children in neighbouring houses that will be in bed and I don't want people at my door complaining
Do you have a ladder says he.... eh no I am not alarm repair man says me... oh says he I am not insured to go up ladder anyway at this time of night!!!!!
Oh my , give me strength!!! just stop the thing from ringing would you- ok says he give me twenty minutes... what for you only live round the corner!!!
Alarm now stopped..... could he not have done that first time round!!! oh and says he... don't let that thing near me... talking of my darling Misty ... well that really got my back up
Think when he comes(well his son) tomorrow to fix it I will tell him just to disconnect the darn thing as i haven't used it in years cause That Thing!!! is a better alarm and doesn't cost electricity to run it!

Allsorts

The challenge this week at Allsorts is No Stamping
So for this I thought I would dig out dies cuts and use those
I used the snowflake embossing folder on the scalloped circle and id my gingerbread man up in blue and added felt letters for SON and a die cut sentiment saying with love
Still not getting in the Christmas mode at all.

At least its raining today so that means no grass cutting getting done!just have to craft all day! nothing else for it..... oh I do lead a hard life!

Penny Black Challenge

The Penny Black Challenge this week is Christmas

I am trying to get in the card making Christmas spirit but its not really happening for me!

So this is my offering this week

Am feeling a bit stuffed- just munched my way through a load of Thornton's choccies

Bought some yesterday and the woman in the shop said.. cause you bought something you can have these for a pound or these for two pound and I said... oooh yum I'll have some of those and those then please..... then she said pick a choccy from the display... ooh more yumminess so i picked a champagne truffle and now I feel a bit stuffed and never want to see another chocolate again- well at least for an hour or two!

Charisma Cardz

My don't the weeks just fly by and here we are again with another great Charisma challenge

And this week it is Scrap It- you can make a layout, a book, what ever you fancy

I did a layout of my girlie Misty using my favourite photo of her

if she knows she is getting her photo taken she acts all shy and ends up taking a terrible photo(just like me!) but if you catch her in action the photos are amazing.... with this photo she is focused on my face to see which way I am going to kick the ball- yes she can tell by my eyes which direction it is going in- I think she was a goal keeper in a previous life- not a lot of balls get by her and I often kick it straight into her mouth but she has learned to live with my non football skills

At Allsorts this week the challenge is a sketch with a torn theme

Ooh I do like tearing!!so plenty tearing it is then!Torn paper everywhere on this one

Been rather busy this week and not caught up with my challenges, blog buddies or anything but on holiday for a couple of weeks so lots of time to play now

Polka Doodles

This is my take on the Polka Doodles sketch this week- just had to take part again after coming in joint third last week.. woohoo

The papers and image are Polka Doodles- except the white card -and they have a lovely subtle spot on them

Hope you are having a good weekend- just back from shops where I bought a pair of slippers with a cow face and ears and they are white and black.... couldn't resist them and they look snuggly warm

so by special request here's a piccy of my mad cow slippers .... and what age am I? too old for mad cows but I don't care!

2sketches 4 You

For this sketch I made a note book and used the sketch for the centre piece.

I used dabbers on the chipboard covers and attached rafia to the binding and I also cut extra holes at the other side and tied rafia round these as well.

I used crackle paint on the label and attached some cardboard, flowers and lace

Carol's Sketch

Well Carol came up with another fab sketch for this fortnight's challenge and this is my take on the sketch

The dotty stamp is my new Maya Rd stamp and the rest really is quite self explanatory, nothing fancy but I do like the colour of that card

Penny Black Challenge

Running a bit late with this one this week but the challenge for Penny Black is

blue, tan and cream

Now me not paying enough attention again thought it was natural so went for white!Oh dear one of these weeks weeks I will pay full attention to what is required in all the challenges- silly me, so just kid on it's a creamy white!

I used my new Prima dotty background stamp and my lovely PB floral image and the tag say Friendship

Been having rather a hectic week this week but hoping to get caught up with my cards over the next couple of days and had a few orders I had to get done- you know the ones... can I have a card for.... but I need it tomorrow!!!! oh of course I won't sleep and stay up all night to make it but Ok no problem!

Its Carly's turn to set the challenge this week and she chose these flowers as inspirational- to use pink, green and lemon or use the image as inspiration- entirely up to you how you interpret it

I used the new fleur de lys folder for the embossing and stamped my Sugar Nellie onto scalloped cicrles cut using my nesties

The little tag says Special and added some flowers and lovely jewels,

Moving Along With The Times

This is my take on the sketch at Moving Along With The Times this week. The theme(see I'm getting better and paying attention to the fact there is also a theme!) is Teen Card
So what better than to get my Rock Chick stamps back out again along with the Tim Holz background stamp and a few flowers and hey presto!
Chucking it down with rain here today and I now have two rather soggy doggies after their walk and who said chivalry is dead!- went to the pet shop to get a sack of dog food and a kind man carried it out to the car for me- made my morning that did

Two More Challenges

This is my entry for my lovely Funky Hand team mate Carol's sketch- every fortnight she gives us a lovely sketch

The papers are from in the depths of my Museum and don't you just love love love the new Victoria embossing folder- think that might become my new swiss dots

This one is for the Forever Friends challenge which this week is Lazy Days of Summer

The papers are from my museum yet again and the flowers are Dawn Bibby I think(they came from QVC anyway- a long time ago) and the sentiment says girls rule- it is summery for me as i am not normally a bright pink sort of gal.

And theres a new challenge coming on the 7th September

The Pink Elephant

The challenge at the Pink Elephant this week is a colour challenge

Brown, Torquoise and Neutral

I think this is my new style of card... having a day off today and oh what a pity it's raining so just have to craft! Have made two or three(well five!!) variations of this today and I must admit I am liking it

It has colours I love- brown and blue and cardboard, flowers a bit of bling and a mad stamp!

On a roll now so away to do my lovely Funky Hand teamie Carol's sketch .... so be back shortly.. oh think I better take the dogs back out again while it's stopped raining... oh what a decision raging mojo or walk????

Think the walk will have to win seeing as it's Misty's 5th Happy Happy Birthday today

Penny Black Challenge

The stamp I used is by Paper Artsy and was pleased that hidden in my stash was a bit of ribbon the same colour as the distress ink I used.

Polka Doodles

This is the sketch at Polka Doodles this week

I do like circular cards so just had to give this one a go

Tilted the sketch a bit for this one and I thought it quite funny that I used polka dots and added doodles....quite sad yes I know!!

2 Sketches 4 You

Oh I feel awful cause I've not taken part for a few weeks with one of my favourite challenges

2 Sketches 4 You so i just had to find time this week

The butterfly I made using a heart stamp, some ribbon and a flower

The centre stamp is a Tim Holz stamp that I can't stop using at the moment

and I just love the velvety ribbon- which the photo doesn't show up to its true loveliness

The sentiment says Happy Birthday and the punches used and the stamp are by Stampin Up

I thought the paisley pattern cuttlebug embossing folder matched the paper used for the background

Mojo has been a bit missing lately but hopefully after my holidays it will return- only trouble is that's not till the end of the month!!

Penny Black Challenge

The Penny Black challenge this week is SUMMER.

Now I know you might look at my card and say what is summery about that but it means summer to me.

The sentiment - The best things in life are free- well that just sums up summer doesn't it...... sitting in the sun relaxing, enjoying a nice day at the beach or a lovely walk and all for free

Flowers of course- very summery

The dog!- well summer is a time to get the hose out and wash the dog and let them have a good old shake and then dry off in the sun

So there you have it that's how that card means summer to me

Mollie and Teddy

The Craftydownloads challenge this month is BIRTHSTONES

I remember when I was younger getting a blue topaz ring as a birthday present so I decided to go with that influence

Coloured Mollie with teddy using copics and added a few blue topaz coloured gems

Tim Holz stamp for background, swiss dots folder for the nestie circle, Martha Stewart border punch a couple of flowers and a sentiment "Girl Talk"- chuck em all together and voila!
