I got this wonderful image from Digistamp Boutique called Harold to play with and thought it fitted in nicely with the challenge given that dragons blow out fire- hence the hot hot hot and the candle on the cake could be hot hot hot and then I went for the sentiment of Hot Stuff and used some nice bright paper and colours

Simon Says Stamp and Show

The challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp and Show is Anything Lord Tim of Holz inpsired
Having just finished this book it fitted with the challenge
The pages of the book were cut with the Tim Holz dies and journaling tickets by Tim Holz as are the pins and clips, distress inks and dabbers and crackle paints and the sticky ribbon
The wax seal is a Y
Pouring with rain today, so as I am having a day off today what better time to spend an afternoon than crafting

Penny Black Challenge

Over at Penny Black the challenge this week is a sketch


The papers I used are K &Co, the flower punch and sentiment by Stampin Up, Martha Stewart punch and card candy by Craft Work Cards
Its a funny sort of day here- very dull and overcast and windy but not cold but just the right sort of day to get some crafting done
Had a couple of cards to do for people at work so now they are out of the way hopefully will get a play about and looking forward to the X Facotr beng back on the telly from tonight so my seat on the couch is booked for later

Charisma Cardz

The challenge this week at Charisma Cardz is to use DIE CUTS, so of course I had to use the Tim Holz tattered florals die along with the scalloped nestie die
Taken me ages to do this post as my mouse is playing up and according to my anti virus I am virsu free so maybe the old mouse has kicked the bucket and must go to mouse heaven to be replaced by a new one

Simon Says Stamp and Show

Am so loving the new Simon Says challenge blog!The challenge this week is to create something in the "Wendy Vecchi Studio 409 Style" and if you haven't checked this blog out then you really need to- pop over to the Simon says challenge and follow the link at this weeks challenge and spend ages with a cuppa drooling over this blog
I just hope my creation qualifies
I used white dabber on chipboard then cut out a scalloped oval from it then used distress inks over and stamped Tim Holz stamp over it
Stapled the netting on to it and cut a flower from the rest of the chipboard and used crackle paint on the butterfly- i also used the Wendy technique of applying glossy accents to the centre of the pin
No agility for me tonight as Misty has been at the vets for the last couple of weeks with a leg or back problem that is very intermittent and only really show up when she has to jump or go up stairs etc, so she has had strict rest and pain killers. Now building up her exercise and cutting the medicine down to see how she goes- hopefully this will work cause if it doesn't she will need x rayed ... so fingers crossed

The Simon Says challenge this week is With Wings and it celebrates all things Tim Holzy so what better than to get out those distress inks and Tim dies and stamps out

What glorious weather today, so nice I just had to take the dogs a nice walk in Chatelherault Country Park today and I now I am trying to muster up the enthusiasm to finish the housework!

Forever Friends and Totally Gorjuss

The Forever Friends challenge this week is to make a notebook and if I am lucky I have just scraped in on time for this one

This is the sketch at totally Gorjuss this week and guess what I made a Christmas card for this one- never heard of before, me doing Christmas in August

Its a lovely day here but again I have shut me eyes to the grass- I did do some housework, cleaned the hamster and pulled a few weeds but I reckon if I don't look at the grass it will be fine
Finished watching all the episodes of Sex and the City last night and boy will I miss that programme now- feel as if I have lost four friends now that its over- but I still have the movies to see

Get Funky

Wow, the first of August- how quick is this year flying by... and of course that means another Get Funky challenge for the month

This month its the super Dolly's(Vicky) turn to set the challenge and she wants to see
