Polka Doodles and Pollycraft

Happy Bank Holiday Monday to you-such a lovely day today I decided to cut the back grass again and that of course leads onto weeding and chopping bits off bushes so now some time for a bit of crafting
The first card is for the Polka Doodles challenge this week which is Sew and Sew, and not being any good with a needle and thread I went for faux stitiching

This next card is for the Pollycraft challenge this week which is Hidden Messages

The papers I used are from the Salt and Peeper Funky Hand download and it makes a change to do this challenge on the day it is posted instead of the day before it is due to close!

Penny Black Challenge and Pollycraft

The challenge at Pollycraft this week is Buttons and Butterflies- think the papers I used are Bo Bunny and the wonderful Pollycraft image- so cute


This card is for the Penny Black challenge this week which is In the Garden- I just adore this PB image
Hope you are all having a lovely bank holiday
I had the girls from work over on Friday night so that was a good moaning put the world to rights sort of night but had a bit of a sore head the next day so just had a lazy day then got ready to go on Tina's hen night
The meal was lovely but then we just came away after a couple of drinks as all the others had left to go onto the burlesque club and you should have seen some of their outfits- they were all amazing, corsets galore and all eyes in the pub were upon them- me , Sue and Angela felt very overdressed- we had way too many clothes on for the company but it was lovely to see them all- really wish I had had my camera with me

Penny Black Challenge

The Penny Black challenge this week is Lots Of Dots, so there are plenty dots on this card

Papers are again by Tim Holz, image is courtesy of Jozza and i just adore this image must add it to my wish list

Another glorious day, and as it is toooo hot to dig the garden I decided the weeds will just have to grown and grow so I went round the garden centres up the clyde side with my mother

We had a lovely afternoon looking at hanging baskets , sweating and moaning at the size of the queues for a coffee

I bought a nice hanging basket- wonder how long that will last before I kill it(not very green fingered) and we finally found a garden centre that the coffee shop was empty so we had a huge cream cake and cappuccino

Can't wait for tonight- An audience with Michael Buble- ah drool!

Off to make another couple of cards and feed the dogs

Pollycrafts

The challenge this week at Pollycrafts is Summer Blooms. I used Vintage Shabby Tim Holz papers and the Brackets die for this card

What a glorious day it is here- infact too hot!!- was going to cut my front grass but will have to wait till the sun moves round the back door as it is way too hot for anything like that- looks like another 8 oclock thing for me - that was the time I cut the back grass last night
So glad to have a relaxing weekend this weekend and not have to work so will hopefully get a chance to get some crafting done

It's Thursday again and time for another Charisma challenge and this week Leanne has picked 3D
You can Make anything so long as it has something 3D on it
I used my new Tim Holz stamp along with distress ink and the heart is attached with 3D foam pads and the flower is layered up and attached with foam pads too and the flowers stick out so that is 3D too

Happy Sunday

Couldn't resist making a quick make with new goodies
Bought the Tim Holz Vintage Shabby paper pad and boy is it gorgeous- so gorgeous I didn't want to spoil it by using it but decided to and then i will just have to buy another
New heart punch too
Now you would think I had nothing better to do than to a play but actually its the opposite
Was working today and have 26 cards to make over the next couple of days so I should be getting on with them and should be thinking about making Father's Day cards as that will not be too long either
Next to no housework done either!!!
Was at a craft fair yesterday- Sue and myself halved the stall and she did the morning to let me get dogs out a walk etc and I did the afternoon to let her get home for her BBQ... and it was just as well it worked that way as when I got up in the morning Misty had had several huge accidents all over the place which over the course of yesterday I scrubbed, washed and scrubbed over and over again and had to fling out the rug at the bottom hall ... not a pleasant task at all and especially not first thing in the morning
So I am off now to put the Tim Holz pad away - enough oohhing and aahhing for now- and get on with these cards

This is the sketch at allsorts this week

And this is my take on the sketch

The papers are by K&Co and again I used my beloved leaf die and butterfly punch

Just a quick card before I go to bed- was working today again as that is us now moved office- 6 miles up the road

It is huuuggeee and has a floating floor and all the up and down in the lifts today made me feel actually quick motion sick- think it will take a lot of getting used too as my first feelings are I don't like it!!

On a brighter note was at a dog show yesterday and was really pleased with how Misty worked which was very surprising seeing as we have no NO training whatsoever for a few weeks now- she did break her stay exercise again but her heelwork was lovely.

Oh and little Bud turned 13 on Tuesday- he is now a teenager/pensioner.... ah bless

well I think that's me caught up on things for now and hopefully this week I will be able to visit you all

I went for a very simple clean card this week and the mount in the centre has the wedding vows on it.

2 Sketches 4 You and my Whacky new Sandals

Yes , this would be the wacky new sandals that I bought- couldn't resist them

I can't walk in heels but I do adore shoes that have an ankle feature such as a strap etc so I couldn't resist these little beauties

This is the sketch at 2S4Y this week and this is my take on the sketch

Now I have no idea who to credit this image with so if you recognise it can you let me know- I got it from an image swap we did at Funky Hand but not sure if its one of the former DT it came from or not

When I stumbled upon it after doing a bit of craft room tidying I just had to use it the image is sooo striking and has those kind of follow you about eyes

Not sure that all the bling shows up because it is black but there is more bling on the corrugated card at the top

Managed to get a few of the cards done today that are needed for this week so that's a relief but still 23 orders to go!

woohoo Anice at Funky Hand has done it again- another wonderful release - this time its digi stamps called Flutterby Flowers and has lots of lovely flowers and butterflies

Was working today as we are moving office and we had to start the packing up and spent all Saturday from very early helping set up at my club's annual dog obedience show so I am very tired and why I came home and emptied half my craft room on the floor today to get it in some sort of order is beyond me and I have not long finished sorting it all out.!!!. so I am off for a bath now then bed..but at least it's a holiday Monday tomorrow so BIG long lie in tomorrow then a bit of cleaning then crafting all day as have 27 to cards to get made for people and 3 for myself before I even look at a challenge and I might just share my new MAD sandals with you too

Get Funky

Happy first of May and welcome to another Get Funky challenge

The challenge this month is set by the lovely En and she has chose- SHAPED CARDS- any shape so long as its not the standard square, oblong etc

I have no idea what shape you call this but it makes a lovely card that is a bit different and it folds flat for posting

I used papers from The Funky One CD

Just remember in order to be in with a chance of winning the whopping £20 to spend at Funky Hand you have to use at least one Funky Hand product on your creation.
