Birthday

Been missing for a couple of days as it was my birthday on Thursday and i have had a bit of a hectic time.

Wanted to share with you the gorgeous hand crafted cards I received from my mates at Craft class and my Funky Hand Gang

Arty Girlz Challenge

The challenge this week is to create a project using your favourite colours.

At the moment mine seem to be brown with blue.

The card I made is actually to send to the vet from Bud to thank them for his operation and their care- the first vets ever to phone me the next day to see how he was and if he had eaten, been to toilet etc

So I used this challenge to coincide with the card I had to make for him- will have to keep an eye on what he is writing in it so he is not tooo cheeky as I know he felt fine before he went in and came out sore and wondering "ouch, what happened there I am sore and BALDY" poor wee soul, he had hardly any hair to start with and now he looks like a patchwork quilt- at least his coat will hide it until it grows back in

got my challenges slightly mixed up- House Mouse was polka dots and forever friends was a sketch but silly silly me did a forever friends polka dot card and not a challenge site in sight to post it on.

This is what happens when you try to do toooo many things all at the one time- I am so good at telling people to make a list and work form that- Oh if only I'd listened to myself and wrote a list then I would not have a card with no challenge to post it on!

Today

is the 40th birthday of Anice, very talented lady and lovely person, who runs Funky Hand and to coincide with her birthday she is releasing a new CD called Funky Daze.Have a wonderful day Anice.

It is filled with wonderful papers and also word books for you to make up you own little books with any word you want- I haven't actually had to time to try the word books yet but will a s soon as I get a chance.

I have made a few cards using the CD though and the papers are just fab fab fab.

What I did forget to do was take a photo of the birthday card I made for Anice and I also forgot on Sunday to say it was Enfys's birthday so a big Happy Birthday En- my card(which I also forgot to photograph) will be late as it has to go all the way to the USA and I only posted it on Thursday.

2 Sketches4 You- Laura's Sketch 13

I kept my card very simple this week as I have had a hectic week and not much crafty time.

Brother in law was rushed into hospital with a heart attack, a dog ran full force into me while trying to attack my two and sent me flying up in the air and I spent 3 and a half hours in A&E getting x-rayed and having stones and gravel dug out of my hand (but what really annoyed me was the fact the man walked off and left me lying there and never even said Sorry)

My little soul mate Bud was in yesterday getting 5 lumps removed- one of which was huge- and he is very sore and whinging and feeling sorry for himself so i am plying nurse- at the moment he is lying beside me on his blanket(but I have to carry him up and downstairs as I go!)

Well anyway that kind of explains why I was missing so much this week

Cuttlebug Challenge #8

The challenge this week is to crayon resist on your embossing

This involves rubbing crayon over your embossed image then I heated it with a heat gun then used alcohol ink over the top. it gives a lovely shiny meatallic look effect and I was amazed at the colours that came up. Full instructions of how to do this are provided through a link on the cuttlebug site

Penny Black Challenge

The challenge this week is to make a card Monochromatic

This could be any colour so long as it was shades of that colour but I went for the basic black and white

Two Challenges in One

This is the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and for this I did a Christmas card and used the traditional green and red colours so that fitted in nicely with Cute Card Thursdays challenge which was surprisingly Red and Green

This is Kazan's sketch this week and yet again it is a great sketch and great DT examples from the new winter team

The snowflake card I found hidden in my stash and the pompom ribbon I stumbled upon when I

opened up a box I had not been in for a long long time, the letters are thickers and the snowflakes came free with a magazine but started life as blue- I inked them over with gold ink

I am a bit later than normal with this challenge but have had a hectic week

My PIF candy from Claire arrived the other day there in a beautiful handmade envelope

Cuttlebug Challenge #7
