Pollycraft and Cute Card Thursday

The theme at Pollycraft this week is WEDDING and look at the wonderful freebie image they are giving away

The Cute Card thursday challenge this week is TEXT, the bigger the better

Now this must be the quickest easiest card in the world

I just scored a bit of DCWV card, punched flowers with another bit, added a K&Co sentiment and it was all over in two minutes

If it stays dry long enough I might be forced to cut the back grass- so fingers crossed for a bit of rain pleeaassee

Cute Card Thursday and Funky Hand DT Call

had a lovely day yesterday at Troon beach with the dogs- I haven't been there for years and years and the weather was not too hot for them but nice enough just to wear a t shirt

They had a ball and we arrived back home at dinner time exhausted and I was in bed at 9.15(on a Saturday night!!!!) watching the tv and believe me Bud and Misty had already had a couple of hours sleeping/relaxing time up on me

House work kind of half done and decided to make a few cards this afternoon starting first with the Cute Card Thursday challenge

Moving Along With The Times

This is the sketch at Moving Along With the Times this week and the theme is Vintage.

This is another challenge I haven't taken part in for a while so i was delighted when I saw the theme was vintage

This next card is just for fun and to remind you there is still time to take part in the Get Funky challenge this month- the papers used are from the new Colour Me Happy CD from Funky Hand and theys went so beautifully with my new stamp

Yesterday there was torrential rain for hours and hours and all the stones at the side of my garage washed away down the street and I had to go out at 8 oclock last night when it eased up a bit and tried to shovel them as best as I could back into the driveway- the street is a mess with my stones!!! but what can a gal do!!- they will eventually disappear... I hope

It was so bad that Misty wanted out for the toilet and when opened the back door she looked at the puddle(or should I say river) at the back door that she had to go through she promptly changed her mind and thought I will just cross my legs thanks..

Hopefull back tomorrow with another couple of challenges

2 Sketches 4 You

This is the sketch over at 2Sketches 4You this week and this is my take on the sketch

papers are from Stampin Up, and so is the sentiment and the heart punch is Martha Stewart

I am also going to enter this for Carlyann's wedding candy over at Charisma Cardz

Spent the afternoon at the hairdressers and felt as if I was moving in there I was there that long, but there was a young boy there even longer than me getting stripes round his head and the longer I sat i was quite amazed at how many young boys came in to get their hair done, times have certainly changed since my teenage years when the boys would never have been seen in a "ladies" salon and would probably have preferred to cut their hair with the garden shears

But after all that time I can again go out in public with nice coloured trimmed hair

here's hoping for a nice day tomorrow so I can maybe take the dogs away somewhere

The challenge this week at pollycraft is HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I used Maurice to create my birthday card and papers from Recollections Autumn papers

Well seen I am on holiday it has rained nearly all day and really got hardly any crafting done today and tomorrow I have the hairdressers which means I will be missing in action for hours so probably not a lot of crafting done then either

Hope the weather brightens up a bit so I can maybe get the dogs to the beach and get the grass cut before it turns into a total wilderness

the challenge at Pollycraft this week is BOLD and BRIGHT so I used the froggie Pollycraft image and coloured him with a bold shirt of red and blue and used bright Daisy and Dandelion Picnic Patch papers
Ooh the weather here is miserable- it is chucking it down and a bit cold and very windy- just like winter- suppose that week we had of nice sunshine was the summer!!
However as I have been saying all week I can't wait til Friday to have a well earned week off- need it after the day I had today and I suppose it's my fault it's raining ... it always seems to rain when I have time off- but maybe that's just Mother Nature's way of telling me Stay indoors and craft Allison, its too wet to do anything else!!

Allsorts

This weeks challenge at Allsorts is JULY LOVE

so I celebrated the love of my new Tim Holz heart die and grunge board

I used white and blue dabbers to colour the heart and wings and the papers were free from a magazine and the stamp is from Stampin Up

Had a good time yesterday at the pictures really enjoyed Eclipse- plenty of vampire eye candy and lots of lovely wolves with their shirts off!

We then went for a meal at Frankie and Bennys and home for half ten in time to watch a couple of episodes of Sex and the City(my friend from work gave me the box sets to watch as I had never watched any of it... and I am now hooked)

Charisma Cardz

This weeks challenge over at Charisma Cardz is Watch the Birdie- so we want to see all sorts of birds on your creations.
I had a graduation card to make for someone so thought I would show that card as my DT card for the challenge
Isn't that little owl just the cutest and I can't remember the name of the site I got it from- must start paying a bit more attention!
Bit of abusy week for me so hence not a lot of posts this week but roll on a weeks time then I have a full week off and plan to get loads of crafting done

Oh roll on next Friday until I get a weeks hols and I am going to the races on the Friday night so looking forward to that- must remember and not bet the donkeys this time though!which reminds me of the time years ago when I went with my Dad and I liked the sound of a horses name so decided to put my pound on it and he went on so much about its form and how it had no chance that I changed my mind at the last minute and it romped home at 40 to 1.....

Colour Me happy

Anice at Funkyhand has a new release being aired tomorrow on Create and Craft at 10am its called Colour Me Happy and is the latest in the papercraft factory CD's

It is full of amazing papers in different colour collections, word books with interchangeable letter, alphabets in the colour ranges and lots of digi images
There are papers to suit everyone from bright and bold to ginghams, stripes, hearts etc you are just going to love love love this CD and all it can do

It will not be released on the website until 10 July so tune in tomorrow to Create and Craft to get your early

Sneaking in again at the last minute with this weeks Pollycraft challenge. This week its Pinkalicious and for this I teamed it up with lemon
The papers are from Funky Hand Dreams Come true CD and the Pollycraft image I used some flower soft on the mermaid
Hope there is enough pink on this one as I am not very often a pink person
Just waiting on the tennis final coming on now- housework all done and having a cuppa while I am waiting.
Its chucking down with rain here so at least I don't have to feel guilty about not doing the grass

Get Funky

The first of the month and that means another Get Funky challenge- this month the challenge is set by the lovely Ruth and she wants you to create a card for Something New, new home, new baby etc
My New Home card contains lots of elements from the new CD from Funky Hand that will be soon making its debut on Create and Craft
Its wonderful and has lots of new digi images(house and bird on card above) and lots of glorious colour collections and word books and alphabets
