Friday Sketchers

This was the sketch this week

and I went for a pink and red Christmas card with my new Tilda and leaves

The papers are Jen Wilson and the red ribbon from Craft at Home and it is gorgeous

Added a red flower with jewel to go with the leaves

Tilda Challenge #34

The challenge this week was to use any kind of embossing so I went for my trusty cuttlebug folders

The panel behind Tilda is embossed as is the dangling heart

and don't you just love the fibres- think you will be seeing these for a while to come on all my creations I love it love it love it

Penny Black Challenge

The challenge this week at penny black is stars and stripes and it is sponsored by Anice's new Funkyhand download called Minty Madness so of course i just had to use those papers as there are stars and stripes in the papers

I used my little penny black doggy image and also stamped his tie out in stripey paper

Added a couple of the stars from the download,and three jewels

Cute Cards Thursday- In the Water

The theme this week at Cute Cards Thursday was in the water so for this I made a card for a Birthday Boy by layering and inking blue bazzil card then adding two ships a little whale a load of stars and a birthday boy sentiment

New Tilda

My new Tilda stamps arrived so I just had to get using them

This is the first stamp and I went with a black blue and white colour scheme but then added a touch of red to brighten up Tilda

The sentiment says Laughter is the best medicine

Tilda Challenge and House Mouse Challenge

The Tilda challenge this week is HANDS- this could either be a hand shaped card, a card with hands on it and it could even be clock hands- so I went for this option- CLOCK HANDS

and added little phrases about time

I know how much my mate Carol loves her HouseMouse stamps and no one was more surprised than me when I raided my stamp box and lo and behold there to my amazement was a house mouse stamp i had never used and can't even remember buying so I thought this was fantastic as i can now join in the challenges until I buy some more

The theme for this challenge was LACE and i maybe took it to the extreme by adding three layers of lace to the card, added some flowers and a little Sleep Tight Don't let The Bedbugs Bite saying

Funkyhand has a new download available and it is called Minty Madness and the main theme is green. The papers are wonderful and I've been busy making making with them and they are so wonderful I know I will never tire of them.

Penny Black Challenge

The challenge this week was to make something but not a card with a Penny Black image on it

I decided to alter a little tin- and of course I made it DOG themed

I might hear you ask where is the penny black image but the shrink plastic thing hanging from the lid is infact a penny black image- hopefully you can see it ok on the third photo.

I now have more inks on my fingers than on that whole tin!

Sketch Saturday

This was the sketch at sketch Saturday this week

My first card was made using paper that had been coloured in dabbers, crushed then inked over to this I added white ribbon, white hand made paper two flowers a little bow with a hand made hat pin type thing made from my new stash with two glittered chipboard shapes added

the next card is a Christmas card- sorry I forgot whose paper that is as it was in my rather large and overflowing Christmas box, some mesh, couple of brads snd some lovely snowfake embellishments I found in a pound shop- so of course I overstocked in them!

was naughty and spent all my money on new stash, now I have no pennies left for all week ooops-usually on a Saturday afternoon if I am not at a dog show I go shopping with my mother but as she is away on her hols I went myself but my one and only stop was the craft shop-oops- only went for a look but here's what I just had to have

Some loupy Lou Doodlebug alphabet stickers in black and white

Some Dovecraft Funky pet brads

New water colour paints

Beads and little pins in the hope I can maybe make some of those lovely hat pin thingies that seem so popular just now- so watch out for some funny looking pins from me!

Zutter perfect closures- these are quite new I think and can't wait to make a book with my bind it and try it out- need to use my Bind it all more so maybe this will spur me on

oh and some ribbon I forgot to photograph and some jewels

Daring Cardmakers

The challenge at daring card makers this week is make a card including an arrow or arrows

Papers by Jen Wilson inked of course and Paper Artsy stamp, ribbon, coin , Tim Holz adage ticket and of course an arrow with jewels

I don't think the photo really does this card justice- you would think I liked it or something!

Right thanks to Chris I have now had a chocolate fix and taken another couple of photos to see if they are any better- maybe I should have had some booze first- might have worked better- but I think these photos are slightly better

The challenge this week on Arty Girlz was to add shapes to your creation so I decided to go for the shape of the Skull- yes I know not maybe the normal shape you would consider but hey ho skull it was

A True Friend A Priceless Treasure

The challenge this time was to creat a summertime layout with what your pet loves doing during the summer

This is BUD and he loves going on holiday and running about the seaside and in the water- his collar says Bad to the Bone- just like him!

I scanned this page and two sides seem to be slightly missing as the doodling goes all the way round the page

2 Sketches 4You Kazans Sketch 7

At 2 Sketches 4 You this week it is Kazans sketch time again and there is also a bonus sketch from one of the new DT members

these are the sketches

For Kazans sketch I decided to do a Halloween Card- I inked a white card blank then printed off a page with Boo typed all over it then inked it

I then tore some black card cut a green square and added a die cut ghost, added some stars a bat and a Halloween sentiment

Following in the totally distressed look for today I stamped a Tim Holz stamp all over some orange paper then attached some beautiful ribbon, a plain strip of the paper and cut a circle from co ordinating card

Stamped a little birdie and typed off Happy Birdie and cut these into circles
