Penny Black Challenge, Charisma Cardz and a Big Thank You

The challenge this week at Penny Black is Anything Goes and the Charisma Cardz challenge is Thank You so I thought I would incorporate the two of them.

This card is inspired a bit by the tag I made a few weeks ago for a challenge and also by a floral card on Dolly's blog

I would also like to say a big Thank You to Sue and Joan

Joan for her lovely Thank You card for her birthday pressie

and Sue, a lovely Thank You card and stamp set for some help I gave her and she generously gave the stamp set- which I can't wait to use- but was way too generous for the little bit of help I did- so Thank You very much my pet it is most most appreciated

Think this will be my new card shape so watch out for many more with my new stamps

In reply to Carol's question it was a scalloped circle punch that I used and then just layered them onto a circular card

Cuttlebug Challenge #29

This week challenge is Mom's day to make a card and matching envelope to celebrate Mums- and where would we all be without our Mums.

We got to play with some downloads to create this weeks samples

I went for the flower and layered it up and embossed it with the swiss dots folder added white MUM peel offs and cut slithers of black card for the swirls and followed the flower theme through to the envelope which I doodled round and added felt MUM letters.

Funky Word Books

Well did you all manage to get your new FunkyHand CD on Monday night? I do hope so, it was a sell out and remember it will not be available to buy on the website until 11th May so get the date marked on your diary if you missed out on Monday.

The CD's are so easy to use and the papers and books are of such good quality you can't fail to make a wonderful product

I do hope you got it as it is filled with wonderfull word books and matching papers and alphabets and those are my samples I did for the show(forgot to take photos of the BOY book I did)

Charisma Cardz

This is my take on the sketch at Charisma cardz this week

I hope it shows up ok in the photo as there might have been a bit too much sun in the photo- and not that I am complaining about that

I used the cuttlebug butterfly die and embossing folder and a small butterfly punch and the shape is a K & Co embellishment which I added Best Wishes in white and used the swirls Revolution die and then the lovely ribbon

Cute Card Thursday

The challenge this week at Cute Card Thursday is Getting Edgy- to distress the edges of your card, sew, sand. tear etc

Now for this I went for a nice subtle form of distressing- any of you who know Kath will have already seen this technique on her blog and she kindly put a link to the Hero Arts blog where you can see a great video of it.

I embossed swirls on my paper then used distress inks to create the colour effect. I also distressed the half flower that my gorjuss girlie is resting on.

I am glad someone is resting cause it isn't going to be me- still have those 21 dog cards to make, and a couple of others and some DT work to do and also promised myself I would do some painting- still not finished the hall, then I have to get my stuff ready for the dog show tomorrow..... no rest for the wicked then

Daisy & Dandelion and a Sneaky Peak

Its a sketch this week at Daisy and Dandelion and for this I used a Squeak sticker and other stickers from the range along with a couple of flowers.

Penny Black Challenge

The challenge this week is a sketch and for this I used a fabby image courtesy of Kath and went for a pink and brown theme and the sentiment says A Woman's work is never done- amd whatever way you look at it that is such a true saying!

I used the swiss dots folder and the distressed stripes folder and added some card candy too

Have had such a busy busy week and can see no stopping of it either

Off to the pictures tomorrow night too and have another competition on Sunday- don't even ask bout last weekends ones!- lets just say we will put them down to experience- hopefully the one on Sunday will go better

Bud is nearing retirement so if he does it he does it if not well..... he's more than earned his keep and going to Crufts with him last year will always remain the ultimate highlight for us both and Misty well that;'s another story...... boy can she do it and she is gorgeous when she works but lets just say many things interfere with the performance on the day such as- oh I'm rather shy and couldn't possibly with people watching- oh it's too hot- oh it's too wet- oh I thought we were just in that ring for a carry on- oh I thought I couldn't be bothered today .... oh and the list goes on believe you me

She is a darling and I love her but many a person has said to me they would have gave up long along with her.... but she is my precious baby and I know when its just me and her she does it wonderfully she just has a lot of shyness issues to deal with and even if she never wins anything she has won in my eyes as she has come such a long way and made so much progress compared to what she was like and I am so thankful for her in my life

Well I know you only tuned in to see my Penny Black card and here I am ranting on about my dogs and dog shows so have a nice week end and if I don't catch up with you over the week end its cause I'm rather busy- also have 21 dog cards that I need to make ASAP - but will visit you as soon as I can
