Cute Card thursday

The challenge at  Cute Card Thursday is Fly like a bird

I made this card using my new ornate squares dies that I've not even paid for yet!!

The birdie punch is a stampin up punch

This was supposed to be a quick card before getting all my other stuff done but then I got distracted by my mum appearing for a coffee, she left then my Dad appeared looking for her so i think it might be one of those afternoons that I'm really going to get nothing done.

I must share with you the last sentence at the end of the last chapter I read in the book I'm currently reading- it's Dean Koontz's The Husband 

....and the dark was absolute....

how dark does that make the darkness seem ! it is so much better than absolute darkness which gives the impression of very dark but the dark is absolute really makes it feel like it just couldn't be any darker

Glad I got that off my chest now so better go and get on with things
